GROOMS CAKES

In the United States, Grooms cakes are often commissioned by either the bride or groom and kept secret from the other until its unveiling at the wedding rehearsal where it may be served as a desert, or presented on the actual wedding day where it is usually (but not always) displayed on a separate table to the wedding cake. The tradition is also popular in the UK, dating back to Victorian times.
Grooms cakes are much less traditional in appearance and often center around sports, music, hunting and fishing, movies (with Star Wars a popular choice), technology, fast food and pets; usually in some way an expression of the grooms personality. What do you think of this tradition? Would you consider having a grooms cake at your wedding rehearsal or on your wedding day?
