GOLDEN PEEP-TOES

These golden hued Klub Nico peep-toe heels are a bit nice, yes? Loving the subtle shimmer, the elegant crossover strap and the crisp half bow. Handmade in Brazil, they are a wonderful contemporary take on a classic stiletto style. I think they are a fabulous option for those wanting an alternative to ivory, but not quite ready to take the plunge to 'pop' colour. Gorgeous peeking from beneath a glamorous floor length wedding gown or on full display with a tea length gown, these stunners would complement such a wide range of wedding attire. Even if you aren't the bride!

MARC JACOBS

I still love this Marc Jacobs gown as much today as the first time I laid eyes on it. A piece from the Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 collection, it was worn by a radiant Christina Ricci to the 3rd annual amfAR cinema against AIDS event, part of the Dubai International film festival in December 2009.
I absolutely adore the ethereal floating quality and that amazing sketch like detail. I can just picture this as part of a stunning contemporary wedding, although surely this is classified as 'vintage' Marc Jacobs right?!
Lady Gaga has also donned this gown, however in my opinion not nearly as successfully. I don't think I have ever seen Miss Ricci looking quite so beautiful, her makeup is flawless and her hair which looks wonderful in it's own right only serves to accentuates the gown detail.

NEW ISSUE LAUNCH

What an amazing and hectic weekend it was for the team launching the brand new issue of Brides Of Adelaide Magazine at the bridal expo. We are all a bit sore from two full days on our feet carrying around boxes and boxes and boxes full of the most incredible issue yet but it was absolutely-definitely-one-hundred-percent worth it to have had the chance to meet so many gorgeous brides (as well as grooms, bridesmaids and mothers of the bride and groom) who were all so happy to get their hands on the latest issue and to have had the opportunity to chat with so many people who are just as excited and in love with this issue as we are. We love receiving feedback in any form but of course that is our favourite kind!
It was also fabulous to see what our wonderful wedding professionals are up to and to meet some fantastic newcomers to the magazine, who we are just thrilled at the prospect of working with on the next issue - yes it's already in the works!
A huge thank you for all your wonderful comments and congratulations again to our two brides who won our expo double pass Facebook giveaway - it was lovely to meet you and we hope you had a great time!

A TREE HOUSE WEDDING

A tree house wedding? Yes please! I do love a wedding with a twist and this would have to be the best kind of twist. Not to mention the photos! I've seen a couple of different weddings at this location and every photo is gorgeous. The biggest issue of course would be having to leave! Fifth wedding anniversary is wood right? I'm going to ask for a tree house. Obviously it would then need to be the location for a vow renewal too?

RING PILLOWS

There are a lot of very plain ring pillows out there, but they honestly don't need to be. Have a look at these gorgeous flower pillows from Martha Stewart Weddings and the very talented British textile designer and illustrator Anna Whitford who has only recently returned from a visit to Australia. If only we had known we could have asked her to bring a suitcase full for us! Aren't they beautiful? I love the second image, the clean lines, colour and the shape of the petals is just super cute. I hope someone in Adelaide starts stocking them soon...

TEMPERLEY LONDON SPRING 2012

I really don't think I have the words to describe the Temperley London Spring 2012 wedding collection? I am head over heels in love with nearly every piece, which when you consider the range of styles in this line is quite incredible really! One thing that all these gowns have in common however, is their jaw-dropping show-stopping timeless and feminine design. Hardly surprising from the genius wedding gown goddess that is Alice Temperley, nor is the intricate detail. So very hard to try and choose which gowns to picture and near impossible for any of us here in the office to firmly name a favourite! It could be the gown pictured first, or the second... but it could also be the fourth & the eighth is definitely a contender to take out the favourite title... Perfection perfection perfection.

You'll find plenty more swoon worthy images at temperley london

BOLEROS

Very much in vogue is the wedding bolero.  It is more formal than your average shrug. It is not only stunningly stylish, but it presents a great option for brides seeking modest wedding fashion or for weddings held in the cooler months. And the bolero jacket isn't solely reserved for the bride, it's also a great choice for mother of the bride and bridesmaid dresses...

AN ART GALLERY WEDDING PROPOSAL

There are some amazing videos of ridiculously creative and intricately planned wedding proposals out there. Obviously because we work in the wedding industry we have a responsibility to watch them all... at least, that's what we are telling ourselves here in the office? It could also have something to do with the fact that we  might be hopeless romantics but lets not go too far in that direction. So we thought it might be nice (since we've accidentally done the research) if we shared some of the more spectacular videos with you! To kick things off here is George's proposal to Sara

GROOMS CAKES

In the United States, Grooms cakes are often commissioned by either the bride or groom and kept secret from the other until its unveiling at the wedding rehearsal where it may be served as a desert, or presented on the actual wedding day where it is usually (but not always) displayed on a separate table to the wedding cake. The tradition is also popular in the UK, dating back to Victorian times.
Grooms cakes are much less traditional in appearance and often center around sports, music, hunting and fishing, movies (with Star Wars a popular choice), technology, fast food and pets; usually in some way an expression of the grooms personality. What do you think of this tradition? Would you consider having a grooms cake at your wedding rehearsal or on your wedding day?

SPARKLER SEND OFF

There is something pretty magical about sparklers. A perfect match for a truly amazing send off on that magical day! I am so in love with the second shot, how gorgeously romantic...Whether you are looking for the absolute in glamour and elegance, or perhaps a little end of night child-like fun (be honest, who doesn't love writing with sparklers) - these photos definitely illustrate why this is your answer either way!
