PRETTY PEPLUM

I am so excited that flirty peplums make have made a major comeback 2012! Peplum dresses have been all over bridal runways (think everyone from Vera Wang to Marchesa and Monique Lhuillier), and for good reason – a ruffle here and a ruffle there can do wonders for any bride’s figure!  This versatile style can create, accent and conceal curves. I just love Vera Wang's latest dramatic sand coloured one-shoulder garza and French tulle ballgown with asymmetrical peplum bodice and draped skirt with tulle petal detail and horsehair and tulle corsage. It is so graceful with such an ultra feminine vibe and appeal making it one of the most remarkable and romantic Vera Wang bridal gowns for this season!!!

  1. In the 2000s the peplum was reinvented. Instead of being a long overskirt, the peplum became much more understated, usually only covering to mid stomach. Just about the only thing that has remained the same with the 2000s peplum is that extra fabric or the overskirt falls from a tight waist. Beyond that, it is much rarer to see a long peplum, though there is little doubt that at some point fashion will once more introduce the longer peplum.wedding photography Sydney
